It is an on-going project to document tribal cultures around the India. Last 5 years, I am travelling extensively, seeking out indigenous people on the brink of extinction. I am especially interested in the tattoos, tribal jewelleries, traditional costumes, cultural practices and accessories that represent aesthetic indigenous culture. As symbols of success, pride and social status, the accessories are part of in each portrait, in honor of the respective tribe. Their indigenous cultures and traditions are an important heritage for all of us, and their primitive appearances inspire me the most.
